mmm mmm good.

t-day went off without a hitch.finished my leftover bottle of makers from the pre-t-day party this morning.its 10am.now i need to start the stuffing.I went with oyster cornbread stuffing.it was to die for and turned out so well.then the mashed potatoes were done with garlic,lots of it,and feta,with fresh herbs from our garden and some half+half with a little cream cheese.mmm everyone loved those. but the deserts.oh my,the girls did a great job.lily made apple pie,and veronica came with these super chocolate brownies,but her best dish was the tofu chocolate pies.individual and so damn tasty i ate almost all of them.saving some to devour for breakfast the next day along with pecan pie and ice cream.
we played in the yard all day while the turkey cooked.we drank beers and wine and played basketball,smoked hookahs in the shade and laughed alot.then we ate,watched a movie and that was it.everyone was toasted,and too full to move so the movie just seemed like a good idea to finish out the evening.it was life aquatic with steve sizzou.it was okay,not my fav but it kept me entertained.plus bill murray is great so anything with him in it im always down for.

next day was not very productive at all.we rested till like 1.then ken the other couchsurfer came to town.so we picked him up in hollywood and ate lunch at a little cafe on the street.then walked hollywood,and then melrose.window shopping,people watching,etc...
he left to go with his friend to see dennis quaids band which we were all invited but had to decline because we were just whooped and no way could we see ourselves rockin out late in the night the way we were feeling.
and now the weekend is almost over.good friends and good food,come and gone for another year.
